Community Repaint – Miners Mural

The Furniture Revival operates a Community Repaint Scheme, whereby our team collects reusable, leftover paint, and redistributes it to individuals, families, community groups and charities in need. Our scheme aims to improve the wellbeing and appearances of places in the Caerphilly Borough and beyond.

Caerphilly miners Community Centre is a small centre which allows people to socialise and develop their skills. Due to their low budgets they approached us for paint so that they were able to create a new mural for their youth room. We were delighted that we were able to help them with this project. After receiving the paint from us they dedicated the group times with the children to creating this mural. They have spent a number of weeks working together to get this done, all working on different parts of the mural and the children have been developing their skills as well. Through doing this project it has also helped the children to socialise and learn how to work as part of a team. The mural they have created now hangs in their community centre. We are very happy to see how much our Community Repaint Project is able to help the smaller centres and we look forward to seeing what they do in the future.
